If it weren’t for Wimbledon the disgusting heat my lack of tennis-playing friends I’d be out playing tennis every single morning.

I honestly can’t believe this right now. This match is probably the most intense one I’ve watched so far. I’m not used to seeing Rafa play like this, especially against some random guy. Rosol is ranked 100 and Rafa is freakin number 2 in the entire world. How can he lose IN THE 2ND ROUND?! I’m not even a huge fan of Rafa, but I can’t stand watching him play like this....

securelyonafairywing: And that men’s tennis is more attractive, that combined events are a bad idea because it’s harder to get practice court space and no one watches the women. If you saw the text conversation between Vanessa and I, you’d think we were having a heart attack over Sharapova v. Pironkova. I’m a little bit upset that I only got to see the last set from today because apparently, it was an incredibly intense match (two tiebreakers, dear god). Thank god, Maria was victorious.

And both ESPN and the Wimby livestream are not showing the match. I NEED TO CHECK UP ON MY, BBY.

Pfffffttt Wimby Day 3 Happy about Ivanovic’s win, even though ESPN2 hardly showed her. :| Watson is my new player to watch. She’s a bubbly, young, British girl. Only female Brit left standing. Federer finished up in an hour and 14 minutes. Straight sets. Duh. Wozniacki v. Paszek was killer. Tiebreak, split sets. Sad to see Wozniacki lose. Roddick finally won with straight sets....

It’s crazy how even these Round 1 matches can be as intense as the semis and quarters. I just finished watching Wozniacki v. Paszek and the both of them were fighting so hard. Over the span of three hours, they played a tie breaker and split sets, going on to play a third set. It made me nervous watching Wozniacki make so many errors. Unfortunately, her best wasn’t good enough and...

insomni-addict: Kat and I were supposed to have a tennis date today in honor of Wimbledon, but we got rained out and ended up having to watch Wimbledon at my house, which also got rained out. Such a Debby Downer. ;-;

Spending time with Vanessa today reminded me of how alike we are. We share the same dreams of marrying rich, beautiful, top-ranked professional tennis players who will shower us with anything our hearts desire. Also, mixed doubles double dates. ;D We are ~major fangirls~.

Not much for me to talk about on Day 2 of Round 1 for Wimby. Nadal had a shaky first set (even though it took forever for ESPN to actually show it), but he after the tiebreaker, he pretty much killed it. Unlike her sister, Serena played well. I only half watched it. Eh. I don’t know much about Azarenka, but from what I’ve learned, she’s kind of a beast. I’m not sure how...

Me: Yeah, to Brooklyn Decker.
Brooke: Who's that?!

Alright, I’m pretty much done watching/blogging/tweeting Wimbledon for today. No one else I care for is playing. Unfortunately, Venus was kind of depressing to watch.  But Djokovic, Sharapova, and Federer all played beautifully today.  Anticipating Nadal, Serena, Ivanovic, and Wozniacki (kind of) tomorrow. That’s all the tennis posts for now, folks.

lovepb13: I cannot believe that I just watched Venus Williams just go out in straight sets in the first round of Wimbledon. It’s sad to see one of my childhood tennis heroes go out like that. ;-; Let’s hope the Olympics go well.

Well, Wimbledon starts tomorrow. [[MORE]]And the only the only players I care about: Maria Sharapova Roger Federer Novak Djokovic Rafael Nadal The Williams sisters Ana Ivanovic Andy Roddick Caroline Wozniacki In that order. But I’m really just for Maria and the Big 3. Obvi, Maria will take the championship and I’m hoping my boy Fedy will pull through too. If not, then I want...
